I thought it would be a great thread too, I was waiting to see some pics of D Waltons hounds. I can't help you much Andy but I will try to take a pic of a 3 year old trigg/walker I got last year. She is in training not getting it done by any means. She was actually a little to straight last year. She was a bear dog that I picked up and when I packed her in she would run 100 yards and come back. I have gotten her nice and trashy now and I will get to see what she can do this season. Great idea for a thread though, at least you and I think so! Lol

Hey guys I will try to get someone to post some pictures for me Tim should have some. I do good just to get a reply on here. I have some try colored triggs, that are mostly black but not many. I lean for the red, or orange and white ones which you don't see as many of those. 30+ years ago that is what you saw mostly. Orange and white with big square noses and long ears. Easy going dogs that could cold trail. Now you see more try colored dogs with mostly black backs, pointed noses which in my opinion bark to much and have to much speed which causes them to over run tracks. Like all dogs there is a big difference in breeding programs for what you want in a dog. If a dog can't hold tight to a track, open only when he has a track, cold trails and moves a track fast hot or cold he is not my kind of cat dog no matter what he is or his color is. Dewey

Memo asked me to post some pics of his hounds at work

Memo states "In my country the terrain is always hot and dry so you need dogs that are fast and tough. For bobcats here you don't want a hound that opens too much on a cold track or you'll have a very hard time catching. My hounds tend to wag their tail some when I notice their working a cold trach and will slightly open. When the track gets hot you can tell because they open loud and turn on the accelerator. There cant be much room for mistakes with these hounds cause about half the time the cats are caught on the ground after a hard run of about two hours"
