Northern California Collar Thief

Post by zquackman »

I wanted to write in and let the hunters who hunt the Mendocino Forest to be on the look out for a electronics thief. I had two of my dogs disappear for a week and three trips and countless hours of searching later the dogs showed up at the black butte store with no tracking collars, no Tri-Tronics collars and no name collars. I was really pissed off I lost my collars but more upset that some one would just dump my dogs in the woods. I had one of my hunting partners dogs go missing the last week end of bear season and again the dogs were gone about a week and then showed up missing all three collars. I would like to think it is not a fellow Houndsman but the fact that the dogs have gone missing in the same area and the signal just disappeared leads me to belief whoever picked up the dogs had magnets available to them. The other idea I had was it could have been someone opposed to hunting or hound hunting I don't know. I thought I would throw it out there for any guys running Bobcat in the forest or if anybody in the area is offering cheap pricing on collars from around the Covelo area l would like to know so I can go deal with the seller appropriately.

I have no idea what you are talking about and I don't keep trash running dogs at least not for long.
