Coyotes AARRRGGHH

Post by huntwithkids »

Went out this morning. Got one going right off the bat. That darn coon ran a big loop like a mile long. Circle back up where it came from and never treed. I think it wore the dogs out and they just gave up. The only good thing is that the pup hung in there the whole way. :beer On a side not I saw the biggest coyote I have ever seen run across the road in front of me. Wish I had been ready for it. :P Oh well had a nice ride on the old 300. Stomped a lot of my stomping ground that I hadn't checked for awhile.

Went out Mon night and the dogs cut a track then a pack of yotes started up. The garmin said my dogs were about 200 yds away and the coyotes sounded closer than that, between me and the dogs. I used to have a big male Plott that would fight coyotes when they cam in on them, but my dogs now are a little smaller and not quite as tough. So I flipped my light on and headed towards the dogs. Then the pack shut up and moved on out. Sure are thick around here anymore.
