Bobcat Attack

Post by 007pennpal »

Minor injuries only. We got two large male bobcats yesterday. The second one was under a log when we got there. We worked it out with a stick and it was at bay for a bit before it treed. Our young male cameron dog "Rebel Yell" was getting pretty brave with the Tom. My buddy reached in and grabbed Rebel by the collar to pull him back. The cat jumped up in the air over the dog and got my friend's hand. I'm not sure what you call that dance he did, but it has two kicks and a jump. I don't know if it was a bite or claws, it was so fast I couldn't tell, but there are six or eight small holes around his thumb and first finger.

THERE IS NOTHING WORSE THAN CAT BITES OR SCRACHES TO BRING ON A NASTY INFECTION. A PUNCTURE TYPE WOUND COULD BE REAL NASTY. IF IT WAS ME I WOULD CONSIDER SOME ANTI BIOTIC THERAPY BEFORE THE DAMN THING BLOWS UP.
