strike pads
If someone could post a picture of one they find, I think it would be very helpful. I had one about 10 years ago and it worked great. It snapped on and was pretty thick. I later had a guy make me one and I wasn't half the quality that the first one was.Having the hounds up there for a period of time will mess up the framing on the hood but I loved having my hounds on the front where I could see them. Years ago we used plywood with angle iron brackets. Then plywood with bungy cords. The carpet pad was the best; just have to get a new hood eventually. I think I got mine in Oregon or California. I will have to try and refresh my memory.

I like them better than on the box but currently am not using one. One thing to remember is that they are actually illegal in some places...it just depends on who stops you...I believe it has something to do with a Vehicle code as far as blocking the drivers vision. Kinda like using Marine Band radios, they work great and I like them but if the right - or should I say wrong - person stops you, you will get a ticket. I think that is why the strike ' cage' deals that people used to mount to the front bumper were popular for a while, I believe they are legal...however more dangerous for your dogs to ride.
Not trying to rain on anybodys parade, just good info to be forwarned about.
