I'm near Colusa.
Re: Northern Ca Coon Hunters?
Im originally from south Georgia and grew up coon hunting and really want to get back into it. Im on a list for a puppy that is due in the spring. I'm hoping to find someone in my area (or not too far away) that would allow my 11 year old son and me to tag along on a hunt or two. My son has never been on a coon hunt. We both are avid bird/deer hunters.
Thanks
Thanks

There is a field trial at Spenceville this weekend, you could go and meet some people from around here.
You can find more information in the California section of this site.

Well you live in the right area to find coon. Lots of coon in the rice fields.

Re: Northern Ca Coon Hunters?
Do some leg work stop and talk to the farmers around you and to the duck clubs many are more then happy to let you get in there and take coon off the rice and out of the clubs. Most of the areas your talking about is some of, if not the best coon hunting in the state and maybe the country most guys are not going to let you into their sweet spots, so its up to you to find your own.
I would make sure to have something to offer them in return and at the very least make sure to sign a release of liability if you dont have your own liability insurance. The biggest thing to remember is these guys are business men, they worry about the bottom line and covering their backside.
