Pedigree Help

Post by Calkins »

Anybody know anything about these B&T's on this Ped.? I'm not familiar with B&T's lines that much, more of a Walker guy. Thanks.

The Lafoon breeding is Riley Lafoons dogs which include the Sugar Cookie and the set em up ace dogs which is found in 75% of the coonbred Black and Tans today. The Northern Buck breeding is a top of the line coondog breeding as the Northern Buck dog was a world Champion coondog I think he was owned by JR Nelson. Your pedigree is kind of hard to read the way it is posted and that is about all I can help from what I can read.

What do you want to know. Set em up ace is #1 reproducer for black and tans. Sheniker blood is in there twice. He has two females on the reproducers list. The buck dog produced Nelsons nothern rex. He is ranked realy high on the reproducers to.Fox river mandy is on the list, I believe she reprodce Three time albert who produced a lot of great big game dogs. There all big name coon dogs. Ive bought pups out of all these dogs with not much luck as big game dogs.

Wasn't Bohrman's Big Game Thunder bred up similar to that? Previous Albert though, I think.

Setem up ace and northern Hammer aew both pretty roughf-n-tumble UKC & PKC compition lines goen in the latec901s and early 04 erras/ seen 2 of em that J>D> Byrd owned and campayed in the PKC hunts (Eight Ball) and (Smoke) ! both would tree coon solo any night in the woods pleasure hunten under any kind of weather conditions an any eason of the yr there in the Dover Tn. area.I wouldn`t recomend em ?his 2 for big game dogs though but for all night pleasure hunten coon dogs each was a get gone, find a coon and work it and put it up and when ya got too the tree/there was the coon!
I hunted a Bruce & Johnny Gillum dog and he was also a PKC compitition dog , but I pleasure hunted him on mostly coon and a few lion or long tails anyways and a few bear. He was quite a natural solo big game dog and only 1 time he got hit an yeped and came back in too the truck and he went right back and put them biggens up and even that same big long tail up the next time he run him. Natural biggame ability he had in spades !
