I've hunted all of them on bear.Good ones and bad ones in all the breeds you listed.I have always gone back to old blood Smokey River Blueticks for bear and coon.

I'm experimenting with Great Danes super cold noses and extremly gritty on a walking bear

Ive seen good ones in all breeds, but the big game bred plotts have always worked better for me

i have run black and tans. i have had good ones in all mentioned except redticks. we have a couple that have black and tan ,walker, and a little plott in them and they are some of the toughest dogs i have ever been in the woods with.
Re: black n tan, english, redbone, bluetick, or plott?
I think there are good dogs in all breeds !!!!!! Stick with what you want and go with it!!!!!!! I run Cameron dogs and B&T's and they do very well for me !!!!!
