garmin freezing up

i have a 220 and today it started freezing up. when i would pull it out to look at it its just stuck on whatever screen you had it on. no matter what button u push it does nothing. i tried turning it off and then back on and it worked just fine but i think when it sits for a bit it freezes up. and when you power off it doesnt just shut off. the screen fades away slowly until its off. and one more thing haha. on the map page it wouldnt show any side roads. just the highways. this all started today. i dont use radios of any sort and havent dropped it or nothing

Pull the map card out and give it a try. Allot of times the map card goes out and it does some weird stuff.

Another thing to try is to reset the unit, Turn it off and Press and hold the Map, Enter and Power button down at the same time.
