salty dogs

Just wondering if anyone out there hunts with salty dog bred dogs, whats your opinion on em they good, bad , awsome, anything at all just wondering cause i own one and she is the best dog all around ive ever had. Off a quad, outta a truck, on the ground dont matter she does it all 110% all the time, and also hunted with two other salty dog bred dogs and they were pretty amazing dogs also just wondering how other peoples salty dogs are performing out there ?

heck i think so hillbilly mark green bought out salty dog catahoula's . then went out bout quick as he went in . still got his add in bayed solid . i think they just thought they wanted in the dog buissness . maybe they are a little smarter than me an got out . i ain't larned that good yet .

well i dont know about the guy from texas but im talking about the original salty dog kennel owners that were James and Teresa morhead out of oklahoma. And yes they are catahoulas im talking about.

yeah i know the the salty dogs you are talking about . mark green did have salty RIVER kennels . i'll have to check again but i think salty dog sold out to the greens . but like i said i have to make sure . cause this was the grapevine talkin . but the salty dogs is good i like the looks of em . i started out with cats now i just youse mine to cross over my hounds . my cats is BIG BONED JUG HEADED dogs and was gettin out run by a few boars



as you can see they is big heavy dogs the hound crosses work out great gave em some legs

I got a couple of dogs from a Mr. Morehead from OK several years ago, I don't know if it was the same Morehead that later owned salty dog kennels, he was not calling his dogs that then. However, if it was the same man, and if the dogs I got from him wore out of the foundation salty dogs, then I would reccommend them, the two I got were pretty good.

Ok, one of my dog customers just alerted me to this thread. So, Introducing myself--James Morehead. I have raised catahoulas for over 22 years now. We have always BEEN Saltydog Catahoulas, for over 22 years. We have sold dogs, shipping all over the USA as well as international. We have competed for years, mostly in NALC. Hunters find that our dogs work well for them. Baypen entusiast do well, also. We have a couple headed into search and rescue training now.

We did not ever sell out to anyone. The above mentioned party in question started a rumor that he bought us out. That is false. We sold him dogs, as he wanted to start his own breeding program, and seemed honest at the time. We have yet to be paid for over half the dogs. He sold a bunch of puppies with out papers under false pretences. Anyone who was victimised by this person concerning Saltydog Catahoulas can contact us and we will help them if possible. Green had lied that we were no longer in business, tried to scam us out of our kennel name. Seems he led a double life---- He is now living in jail in texas--one account of sex with a minor, and a second count of sexual assault to a minor. Seems this is his third trip to the big house.

hello mr. moorhead glad you got that straightened out or are in the process . never did like that guy just something wasn't right . when i first met him i was sellin some cat pups and he wanted me to do hog control on a ranch he was manageing . then all of a sudden he was a proffesional hog dog breeder and hunter lol and had been breeding catahoula's for 20 someodd years . well it takes all kinds . good luck in your indeavers and i'm sure it will all work out . and he said he was quittin hoggin to start working with the kids at the church , guess his and my idea of helping kids is waaayyy differant .

Mr.Moreheads dogs are great, I have had alot of them, and they hunt!
