I forgot to ask..how often do you catch coons with no tails :lol: We had three this weekend! why do you think they have no tails? Fights, born with it?

I just trapped one here awhile back and he had his tail tore completely off and it was fresh, and it's breedin season for them so i would say a fight and we caught another big bore that had 2 legs and his tail missin but there it looked like he had got caught in a hydraswing during hay season
If it has fur I chase it.

he was still alive with with two legs missing? Pretty resiliant booger!

I have cought 3 or 4 without a tail.one was a pup he wasent very far up a tree but what I could see he was probly born that way.

It's interesting to see them with no tails. Non typical raccoons lol :D

Treed one had a kid shoot and he knocked off the tail never could find it again the next season i killed a no tailed coon couple trees away from where that happend
