Starting a coyote pup

I currently have a 10 month old pup and alot of people are telling me to be patient and try to get him running by himself becuase it will make a better dog. Other people tell me I should get him running with older dogs. I have been running him by himself but he will follow the track for a mile and either he will lose it or second guess himself. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

A pup can learn a lot from running with an older hound that does not run trash.

i run my pup with my older hounds. they get to see alot more and mine will follow them start to finish. now to get him over the gun shy thing. thats a hard one with him.
