It can be a tough spring hunt unless you have connections in some of the lower elevation spots. There are definately bears. When it gets closer, PM me and I may be able to help you out. If it's a fall tag, I'd imagine you'll have lots of helpfull volunteers.

i hunt south slope diamond all the time, while some good hunting is private, i've ran a lot of big bear off private, the only bad thing is they head for colorado, and if the weather holds, there will be a ton of public land to hunt for the forest will be open instead of crowding fifteen hunters onto a single mountain
