my garmin 220 is

It keeps moving the map every so often when im looking at it, its really frustrating to me while im scouting new spots and I have to move it back. It is doing this automatically for some reason.

maybe you have it configured to "orient to North". You may need to reconfigure it to "track up"......or something along those lines. I forget the exact wording Garmin uses.

You have the Auto Zoom turned on. Just turn off in the settings.
