I got mine a few weeks ago. Walked up to the counter and handed them $10 and they handed me a tag. If they pass the new regs I will be able to purchase another tag. I don't know what I'd do with 2 bear tags, but I'll be able to get them. The only reason I buy 1 tag is you have to have it to pursue. Anyway I'm in WV and we don't have a draw. Good luck next year.

I've got like six points for bear and now I'm almost convinced that them points don't really help lol! There's been guys down home that have been puttin in for a big bull for their whole life and a guy put in his first year and drew out a year or two ago lol! But I guess its all part of the game!

pursuit permit

Post by duster »

Ike,

Last year, I was thinking about coming out to Utah for the spring hunt, only I didn't want to kill a bear, only tree some of those color phased ones you guys have.

I spoke to a few people in the UT DNR, and was told I could purchase a pursuit only tag for 30 dollars. So I'm a little confused when you said in a earlier post that you needed to have a kill tag to run your dogs. Was I getting bad information, or is the pursuit only license for the spring and not the fall?

Thanks,
Duster
