Many groups were called upon and asked by CHC if they would send a letter of opposition opposing senate bill 1221. Here is a list of groups that did respond to our much needed help and wrote letters.

CHC V/P George Checca would be way more qualified to answer these questions. Mr. Checca was the one who worked long hours talking with these groups trying to get them to write a letter of opposition toward the senate bill. Here is a list of actual Associations that took the time to write an opposition letter on our behalf.

Does the CHC have a lawyer? I am sure that there is 1 hunter out there that is a lawyer that would represent at no to little cost if asked.

I think he is stating that those that did not oppose the vote will be notified that they are not receiving their vote.

As I indicated, I understand his purpose and was stating that I hoped he would use his words carefully and avoid telling them to go to Hell.

I don't know if this has been shared yet but here you guys go. Mr. Sexton from USSA and that guy from The society that wants to ban all hunting. Also take note "that guy" says hounds aren't used on deer and elk. Uh maybe cause they don'.t stop running or tree! Have fun listening to this. :beer

CHC does have legal representation and invokes his assistance on an as-needed basis. However, as this matter is in the legislature rather than the courts, I'm not sure what could be done by an attorney.

Hi Justin,
Also take note "that guy" says hounds aren't used on deer and elk. Uh maybe cause they don'.t stop running or tree! Have fun listening to this

Wayne Pacelle, CEO of HSUS, made several errors during the KPCC program; one of which is that hounds aren't used for deer...the use of dogs is legal for deer hunting here in California.

Rifleman, why not go on the attack as the HSUS has? I realize this situation is trictly defense, but adding a little offense may help. I posted an idea in a thread below.

If you read my quote i meant to thank those who voted for us or didn't vote at all,(NO)
why would i tell those who voted for us to go to hell? But those Senators that i wrote and called several times and faxed including the Senator in my area, i let them know i will never support them again and will work for their defeat in the next election, it's not like the Senator would get on the phone anyways so i could tell him what i thought of him.but givin the chance i might  they don't give a damn about us anyway's!!

I believe that he is trying to keep people more on the politically correct side of things. The last thing we need is to 500 houndsmen calling and saying F U to all of the senators who supported 1221. That would just make us all look bad and help their cause even more. Let them know you will do what you can to keep them from being re-elected because of the way that they voted but don't act like the savage they are trying to portray us as already.

Will we get to say our side again or is it a closed door kinda thing. Don't know how good or bad of an idea this but let our hounds "do some of the talking" because after all they didn't hear us so maybe they will hear our dogs.

I'd also like to know. I had to switch days off around to get out of work on Tues. With such short notice, there is no way I can get that Monday off working at an Emergency Vet Hosp, we're short handed as it is Mondays.
