Nevada cat dogging...

Post by Liz ODell »

...just curious why no one ever talks about hunting cats in Nevada, I know they are there, well at least until all of us have to move there (ha).
All I see is lion hunting and a few bear posts now and then, does no one really cat hunt in Nevada?

Bobcats can be quite difficult to catch in NV, as compared to other states. A few do get caught, but I don't know of anyone that targets them specifically. With a year round lion season, and only a 3 month bobcat season, its just more common to run lions.

I am pretty posative that it is illegal for out of state residents to hunt bobbers in nevada also.

yeah it goes under the furbearing trapping card/license. Our buddies catch a bunch of lions and they say those damn bobbers in NV are hard to catch. Could be cause he has some tree climbers lol, but in all honesty our other friend says there are really hard to catch as well.
