Bad sore on two legs on the same side

My young walker male has a sore on his front leg an back. About as big as a dime bloody little puss. Wound startn to stink alittle. Wound went from a lump to a whole in 3 weeks. The meat around it is turning Brown. Any suggestions on what coused it an how to fix it.

clean it with nolvessan disinfectant scub or betadine scub,then give cephalexin antibiotics until it clears up no longer than 10 days.

Whatever the cause, it / they ARE infected. He needs antibiotics, and appropriate wound care asap. There is a real risk the infection can become systemic, and your dog will undoubtably die. To the vet........

Do as Tim says and yes you can use different types of antibiotic. Andy

I tried to treat a dog with a staff infection from a bite with tetrycyclene it did not work. Vet said it was the wrong antibiotic for that type of infection.Gave me omoxycyline and it was better in a couple of days.There probably are several types of antibiotics that would work but not all of them.

sounds like a spider bite that is infected, brown recluse bites rot the surrounding areas antibiotics for the infection maybe some steroids call your vet if you dont have one that will try to help over the phone I can call mine google spider bites see if any pictures look like what you have
