How old is the oldest and youngest dog ?

Post by Unreal_tk »

Jc's question about how older dogs do, incited this question to me. How old is the oldest dog you've caught a cat with, and what's the youngest?

I have not had the opportunity to hunt behind a old dog yet, but am curious what the oldest that one has done it. Now for those who run large packs these questions will be difficult to answer. But humor me please!

My Rose dog was 10 months with her littermate(she found the loss and got ahead of her littermate).

I had a bluetick that past away this past summer that was just shy of 14 that my wife and I caught 7 bobcats alone with her and a pup under a yr. She also did a big part of catching 8 other cats with friends and family. She surely wasnt the fastest but steady and sure.

13 year old crossed up bluetick, and I do mean crossed up.I have one now that is 9 and crippled in left hind leg. try to rig him mostly,as he will really hurt himself on a hard race,he dont know he's 9 and crippled, and dont care. I hunted with one of his sisters a few months back, I think she was 11 or 12 ran a good hard race on a tough missouri cat. none of these were by themselves, but they all contributed to the outcome.youngest dog that actually contributed 4 months 1|2 triggxtreeing walker died at 1.5 years hit by a car in front of two slick treeing fools, wish he would of pulled up to. lightfoot sam started running cats at 5 months, would start his own at this time. trashy sob. stopped the first bear he ever saw at 6 months, with his momma. around oroville ca.never did get that dog broke. For you guys just starting if you have a young dog that is really nice, dont do like I did.Find some help, it is out there.I was as big an obstacle as the bobcat.
