You have to love the guys that try to take shots at people subliminally. But yet don't have the balls to do it without hiding behind a screen name!

Big bad- Daryl Jonet is on this site, and may be able to help you. Despite there being no bear left in MI. He consistently is able to find them. I could give you lots of other names of hound guys in MI as well. There are few though that are not whining about going weeks without getting a race. A couple in the northern lower that are also very successful, but doubt they have the time to take on any extra hounds.

You might be able to find someone on the Michigan Hound Hunter website if you do not get the response you are looking for here.

WI would be a good alternative to get your dog on numbers of bear, but may be a bit far for you.

Yeah steve I know the bear population is down because people don't understand that you can let the little and young go. to mature. I would run bear but the population is down and I have no pack just a. Single bluetick I am training for coon . And also steve I have heard of you your name is big in the hound world up here and not in a good way you might want to settle down and watch what you say cause you make us all look bad.

I try to help when ever I can. Some of those guys simply don't like me because I don't agree with additional regulation, and attacking user groups as a game management tool. Rather than focusing on the bear population itself.

I would rather be hated for voicing my opinion, than sit idly by watching hound hunters further alienate other user groups. Which will only spell the loss of hound hunting in the long run.

Nor have I, or will I ever make death threats because you don't agree with my viewpoint. Which some of these advocates have done, and create an even bigger black eye. Especially if the messages were made public along with criminal charges!

I agree with you Steve...I hate drama and hate fighting. Now days everyone is jealous of everyone and think the dam national forest is owned by them!!! It is reallly getting bad and not getting to be enjoyable because you got to be watching over your shoulder for some hunter to come and tell you its their bobcat or their bear your chasing...its bullshit...people need to stop and think what we are really out there trying to do. I hunt hounds because I love my dogs and love the thrill of hearing hounds trailing. I take pictures of every bear and coyote and cat we catch and could give a shit less about killing one...everyone you kill you will never chase again!

I don't want to sound arrogant but i am confident and i am that sure Mr. White is the biggest talker and non producer out there! And do believe many houndsman will appreciate this. Very respectable houndsman at that.

There you go again Darrel. I say something nice about you, and you come out an attack me. I tell the guy you would be the one to talk to to help him out, and you get offended. A hunt off really? Do you honestly believe I fake all the pictures. Do you really believe I am only hunting a few days a week? There are few guys out there that can hunt as much as we do. I put out on 5 tracks. I expect to see 5 trees. Just like you do.

I don't know why every time somebody has an issue with the law lately. The finger gets pointed at me. I don't want to talk to the law, and they surely do not want to talk to me. Unless it is handing out a citation, and that is rare anymore.

I do not believe this thread was started by Charlie. At least I hope not, as that would not show well for his character.

I will still stand by my post. Saying that Darrel would be a good person to contact to help big bad out. Based on his consistency to be able to find game. I really do apologize if that seems like some sort of derogatory statement. Don't know how it could be seen that way, but who knows!!

As for the hunt off. Well, I am going to take the same stand Steve Herd did. Although I will not make the same unfounded comments he did. I have never hunted with Darrel, so cannot speak to the quality of his dogs, or his character. I only know of his reputation to produce game, and that is enough for me to suggest his ability to help train your dog. Right or wrong that is up to you to decide.
