ring tail cats?
Are they endangered everywhere? Any buddy tree them on accident with the dogs? Any pictures, my father in law says he used to see them quite often in Nor cal near his families rock quarry.

Re: ring tail cats?
When I took my trapping test here in Cal. a few yrs back I was talking with the DFG guy that gave the test about Ringtail Cats. He told me that they are not an endangered species they are protected here in Cal. and that there are many of them in our state and down in the central part there are so many they are even a nuisance but still protected. I know we have them here in Northern Cal. I see them all the time while out at night coon hunting.

Cry to the heavens and let slip the dogs of war. For they must feed on the bones of tyranny. In order for men to have freedom and liberty

LOL Have treed some in the Texas hill country. They are really not that hard to tree, it's just hard to get to the tree fast enough for them to still be in it!! LOL

I saw one a few years back in Oklahoma, not real common back there. But as I understand there are quite a few here in the valley. But I have never seen one around here.
