Why not? Cleaner than a cat. They stink. Teaches the dogs to bay without getting hurt. The ranchers want them controlled. And the best reason of all is that its legal and we can. No different then a caged coons, except no cage and we don't have coons out here.

OK. I get that. So you have a reason not to? I would like to hear it. Not being a smartass either. No worse than a hog or bear bayed up is it?

Cool part about this is that there are no badgers where I have seen lion tracks. One mans trash is another mans treasure.

No gadgets where we run bears and I thought it was great for our young dogs.

Re: got to work a badger this weekend.
i didn't mean any disrespect with my post just never heard of anyone doing it on purpose. i have seen a couple dogs that got on them on accident and it wasn't a pretty site. the one thing i do disagree with is posting it on an open forum though. we need to keep that kind of stuff to our selves.

Re: got to work a badger this weekend.
But talking about working dogs on a caged animal is OK? I guess we shouldn't talk about dogs baying a bear or cougar either. Or talk about dogs getting hurt on a hunt. Or...
It was legal. No video or pics were posted of the catch and the animal was killed quickly. What more could a fellow houndsman request?
