Tough Coon

Post by Gary Roberson »

Made a circle this morning and started a coon off a windmill shortly after daylight. It was a good track and the dogs did not trail 300 yards before jumping the coon. The big boar ducked and dodged but after ten minutes, ran out of options. He treed and when he saw me coming got real nervous. I snapped a photo just before he jumped from the big live oak. Go to Burnham Brothers facebook site for photos.

How often have you seen a coon jump out of a tree when he sees you approach??? This does not happen to me on a monthly basis.

back in winter we put two in a small oak and soon as the the light hit the tree the lower coon bailed out and took off running.
