Not unless your in some pretty rough country. If it keeps getting worse I'd say you've fried it

I noticed it before, it wasnt the unit but the cheap antaneas that come on thje dc 30's and dc 40's. I made my own antaneas out of coated aircraft cable, they pick up ALOT better than the stock crap. The new antaneas I made look like the old telemetry style antanea, they work great!!! You can order the Tuff- Skin antaneas for about $15 a piece. I made mine for less than $3 a piece. I had a collar that wouldnt pick up farther than 150 yards away, was going to send it back to Garmin, they wanted $90 to fix it. Instead I made up a cable antenea, put it on it and got over 8 miles on it when I tested it before it lost range. Are all of your collars doing that? Are you using just the stock rubber antanea that comes on the 220? Are you hunting heavy timber or mountainous areas? I hunt in heavy timber and in the mountains and with the little rubber antenea I only get about 900+ or - range, that is pretty normal, if that is all you are getting and you are using the magnetic antenea or the extendable long range antenea, you might have a issue.
