San Juan Utah dogs?
San Juan Utah dogs?
Just wanted to post and inquire if anyone out there in Utah would be interested in running dogs on the San Juan unit after Labor Day or some weekend in November for bear. The person I had gone with a couple times probably won't be able to make it in November. I've been told the bears are denning up by then but there's a chance you could still get a good one. Thanks.

GBfan,
Your post reads " I'm not looking to do it for free of course" In Utah you can not compensate anyone that is not an outfitter (or an employee of an outfitter that you booked with)unless the outfitter is licensed, permitted and insured. We have some law enforcement friends who read these boards and are cracking down on illegal outfitting. Not trying to stir the pot, but I don't want a fun hunt to turn into a nightmare for lack of education.

Yeah, I was thinking I shouldn't have put that line in there. What I meant was if anyone knew of any out fitters (such as cold-nose), that run in the area, I'd check them out as well.
