$$$ Money $$$$

Postby Big N' Blue » Wed Sep 12, 2012 1:39 pm

It just occurred to me... With all the noise the media is making about Romney's wealth, I don't recall such bluster and hand-wringing over the Kennedy fortune.

Or, for that matter, John Kerry. Or the fact that John Kerry gave virtually nothing to charity while Romney gave something on the order of $4 million...in addition to his entire inheritance from his father. Biden gave less than 1.5% of his income to charity. AND....... Obama pays a lower tax rate than his secretary. Buffet Rule?????

Oh. Wait. I just remembered.

Romney is Republican.

Kerry and the Kennedys are Democrats.

Also, Romney worked for his money.

Kennedy inherited his.

Kerry married his.

Obama spends yours on vacations.

Never mind. Nothing to see here folks. Move along .

Didn't Romney inherit his money? Sure he made a lot, but when you inherit a few million to start off with, it makes it a little easier to get richer.

OR did he make most of his money with the Ponzi scheme he is tied to?

Like it or not the majority of democratic and repubican "representatives" could give a shit about America's or American's best interests. Just follow the money from donors to legislation proposed & passed. Look up the definition of Fascism, that is what we have. Fck the donkeys and the elephants and THE PEOPLE THAT VOTE for these politicians. Stop being a damn gullible sheep and realize that you are being duped.

Boy, the US Department of Labor????
Might this be the same Einstein's who furnish us with the unemployment figures and all the jobs saved or created figures.   If so, nuff said   . But as long as that's where we are pulling our figures from. See if you can get them to whip up a batch for the last 3 1/2 years. Then maybe we can pull our heads out of our ass and quit making this a Democratic and Republican thing. And try and make it a common sense thing.

And if the American houndsmen's and houndswomen have stooped to an all-time low. And decided that we should be on the public dole. Lets at least vote the right son of a gun in there. Let's get one that will give us food stamps, welfare, unemployment, healthcare, free hounds, free guns, and ammunition that can be handed down from generation to generation. Then we could sit on the back porch barefoot with a government issued dog and gun and turn into a fat bunch of lazy slobs.

Sure hope we get our heads out of our asses, Willy

Ponzi scheme   OH YOU MEAN GOOD OLD FASHION CAPITALISM

If they ain't givin us free beer too I'm out!

But really there is a little bit of concern about Romney's ethics. There was and might still be investigations into his participation in the scheme. Also, he did not make his money with good ol capitalism because we haven't had that since years before the federal reserve and the income tax were created. We have allowed our government to change from a republic that championed free markets and liberty to a fascist corporatism collection of states hell bent on scaring the masses into doing or behaving in whatever way the government tells them is good for them.

I sure hope we do get our heads out of our asses, but might not happen till things get a little worse. Unfortunately, for now, we have to work within the two party duopoly to get things back on track. Until we eliminate the two party system the best way to change things as you see fit is to get involved with your party, go to meetings, be a precinct committee member and vote your principles don't just go along to get along. It all starts at the local level.

For now it looks like Gary Johnson is the lesser of the three evils so to speak. He is for foreign intervention so that should please the neocon chickenhawks and he's pro-choice, at the state level which should please those so inclined to not use contraception.

Seems like a good compromise because there really is no difference between Romney and Obama.

Oh here's the most succinct article I could quickly find about Romney and the ponzi scheme, but just google it there is plenty of info out there.

Do you know whats hard to swallow ? People that think Obamas doing a good job and deserves another 4 years . Some of you apparently vote on the lines of party affiliation instead of voting for job performance , otherwise you would( FIRE) vote his a$$ out . Unless your the ones that benefit from his free government handouts .

Yes it is true, Mr. Romney may not be the candidate that we all would like to throw our arm around. But at the moment there seems to be no doubt that he is the best choice out of the to shit heads involved. After all, I don't really believe he's looking to take many of your freedoms away. Hunting, Second Amendment rights, and the list goes on. And I don't believe he could hurt the economy any more than it is. But if somebody has to take a person by the hand and explained the differences between the two gentlemen. They probably shouldn't be voting anyway, and yes it is a constitutional right. But you should also be constitutionally sain also.(You wouldn't want an insane individual for brain surgeon would you?)

Although both parties are loaded with left wing loons, and right wing loons. I would just like to remind the electorate. It is not about being a Democrat or a Republican it is about being a commonsense American. However as much as I hate to say this, I believe it has a lot to do with common sense so I will say it. It has burnt my ass, since I saw it on TV at the Democratic convention. And in closing I would just like to ask one more question. If you had the pleasure of watching the gentleman at the microphone, when he called for a vote to amend their little blunder about leaving God and Israel out of their platform. My question is, if a person would blatantly lie to members of their own party in the same room. What would lead you to believe that this type of person or people you would be able to trust with any of your affairs. What took place was a disgrace! And that and that alone would make a person with common sense realize exactly what they were dealing with at this particular time.(personally I hate a liar)

Hope common sense is with us all, Willy

Why Bush was so bad at the end of his term.
(Don’t just skim over this, it’s not very long, read it slowly and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it ou t!!!)

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, the day the Democratic party took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those of you who are listening to the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.

At that time:

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77

The GDP growth for the previous quarter was 3.5%

The Unemployment rate was 4.6%

And George Bush's Economic policies had set a record of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS
of job growth.

Remember that day...

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

Unemployment... adding to this CRISIS (among MANY other things) was the dumping of 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA!

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?... the Democratic Congress!

So when someone tries to blame Bush...

REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007.... THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that has controlled Congress (and the budgets) since January 2007 is the Democratic Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush finally and somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. However, in 2009 Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete the 2009 budget.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit at all, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, the Democrats in Congress had control of spending, and the the rest is history... HUGE DEFICITS, and a credit rating downgrade.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from his own Democratic Senators and Representatives led by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. But don't forget Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, at Fanny and Freddie.
