what some people see

Post by coastrangecathunting »

Well this morning i was heading to work with one of the idiots that work for me. The reason i say he is an idiot is because he is mentally some where between a fence post and a dirt clod. As we were driving up this road i could see a house cat in the head lights. It was gray and white , I watched it for at least 5 seconds. as we got next to it and the cat stepped in the brush he says holy shit did u see that. I said yep , It was a house cat . He says no way it was way to big . I said it was a gray and white house cat. He says it was tan and had a dark brown tip on its tail , It was a cougar. lingmfoa, I said shut the f up. It was a grey and white house cat. Bull shit he says. Well turn around i said i have gater my terrior right here lets find out. Well about 5 min later we were looking at a gray and white house cat sitting in a tree. I cant believe what some people think they see. Anyone see a cougar today.

Ya, I had one on my bed last night, keeping my toes warm and saw a couple more on the front porch this morning....

Must have been kittens as the tracks aren't very big but they definately are cat.....

Yeah, I've had several calls on bobcats.... and turn out to be a house cat... when i show up and look at the track. And when someone sees a cat its like OH MY GOD IT WAS 50 LBS! Nothing I hate more than idiots who don't think.

Boy JC that sure brings back some funny and aggravating memories. Since you were going to work i will tell this story. We were coming down the river from work in the crummy one day and all about half asleep when the guy riding shotgun starts yelling Eagle Eagle Eagle! Well everybody sits up and there is this bird flying down river ahead of us. When we finaly got up closer we could see that it was a raven with a baggie over its head just flying along. The guy that was yelling Eagle last name was Cannon so from that day on ravens are known as Cannon Eagles around here. And i wont even tell about all the huge bears, lions, and bobcats ive been called out for over the years. Has anybody ever seen a small bear or cat cross the road? Lol

People see and hear what they want. I have listened to many fine sounding jumped cat race's, only to realize I was a sucker for a good deer race. John.

Today when I got home from work my 3 year old daughter ran up to me, excited she quickly let me know she had seen 3 bears, a cougar and 2 bobcats that day. Pandering to her excitement I then asked where did you see all those critters? She quickly replied. In the back yard dad and not 1 of those hounds would let a strike go.

Now, I want to know which 1 of you guy's coached her to say something like that. Kids, you never know what their going to say next. John.

I've always said, "I could walk across the street and tell someone I saw a lion". Within 24 hrs I'd get at least that many calls from people who saw a lion. They just want to see one so bad that every bush turns into one.
