I was going through the forum looking for the answer to a dc30 problem but just found a similar question without a reply. My buddy has a dc30 that just turns off. Just runs connected and charged for a few minutes then turns off. has not been reset or up dated, was going good before. Any help would be appreciated. :?:

Sorry warrenj, don't have an answer yet. Friend of mine was having the problem and hasn't
gotten back to me about it yet.
Just remember if you open it be careful when closing it back up not to crush the main board :(

Ker_man i updated my collars via webupdater from garmin site and i took apart the dc 30 that was shutting off. tested battery and was all good and was just looking for anything that looked wrong and collar came on put it back together carefully it stayed on, so i shut it off then turned it back on and it stayed on so i updated that one also. I left it on for cpl hours at 400 plus yards away and everything is fine so far. it been 3 hours since i turned it off and just turn it on and off, still good. ill be trying it tomorrow. I must of did something to it when i put dayglow collars on and the stainless steel antenas on, but it did work fine a hunt or two after that upgrade. I dont know has me scratching my head hahaha hopefully it stays good, ill keep you posted.

Thanks for the info warenj, my friend seems to think that he resolved his problem by disconnecting the battery for a bit and reconnecting it. We will be using it more in a month and will see. Good hunting :!:
