Mike

Not sure on the airing of the shows.....The hound lynx show aired a week ago and tonight the bear show aired....Both were the Best and Worst of Tred Barta on NBC Sports....Both done in the Canadian wilderness with Tred Barta who is a t-4 paraplegic....Pretty cool hunts....
The lynx hunt was done on a wheel chair accessible sled i designed to pull behind a snowmobile and the bear hunt was done on the Action Trackchair....Both guided by Doug McMann of Skinner Creek Hunts better know as chilcotin hillbilly....Each Sunday evening at 7:30 pm on NBC Sports T.V. now until the end of the year the shows will air....

For those who did catch the shows I would like to hear what you thought....

Either in December or February another show is set to air called Nosler's Magunm T.V. with host Gary Joseph hunting black bears also with Doug....This hunt was conducted spot and stalk and one bear was taken by a gentleman who was a Sargent Major in the Army stationed in Afghanistan who took an I.E.D. and is paralized from the waist down, Pat harvest a huge black bear from the seat of the Action Trackchair in the Canadian Wilderness.

Thanks, Mike Martell

Thank you Todd...

Both hunts are just insane for content....Whan an honor to be a part of the productions....Doug lives in the most amazing part of paradise for hound hunting and makes for some great hound hunting television....What makes it so challenging is the fact none of the folks doing the harvesting can walk and the hunts are conducted in roadless regions of British Columbia....Somehow we need to get these so they can be replayed as often as necessary....I will be checking to see what can be done...

I watched the show and i thought it was pretty awesome. I missed the lynx one but have all of the "best and wort of tred barta" episodes ready to record now. I really liked the looks of the red looking dog cuz it reminded me of one of my own. I look forward to more of the shows.

Todd, the tred sled was great, a little sketchy but used the way we thought we would use it it worked great. Those tight trails where alittle much, what a blast. Mike and I had a great time making those shows and met some incredible people along the way. It is cool to see the disabled hunter get in to the trees and see what is going on. It sure beats sitting over a bait!!!
The Nosler Magnum TV show in January should be a great one with a man you will think deserves the great trophy he got.
Thanks For watching.

Ieds funny how they're anything but improvised recycled over built any thing but improvised. My only hope is they cause testicle cancer in the limb d!$ks that set them. I wondered how 500 lb bombs burried in the dirt is improvised guess I'm sour on them. Way to go guys keep dragging them out hunting

Small down payment on a bill that can never fully be repaid....Our U.S. Service Men and Women in harms way.....I'm humbled by those folks and feel we need to do way more. The Nosler's Magnum T.V. Hunt was not over hounds but when you watch SGM Pat C. on T.V. you will begin to understand what life is all about, like Shorty Gorham fighting a bull, knowing full good and well it can and will kill both you and the bull rider in a heart beat.

Tred Barta has brought many new friends to both I and Doug....Hunting hounds is the icing on the cake...I can never repay him for the gift of true friendship. Life is short and we often take it for granted....No one knows what the future holds for any of us or how long we will be here on earth.....

Todd....The Tred sled was sketchy with the ski....Fiberglass is meant for nice trails not in the drink.....Should have made that one "hound hunter proof" One thing about The Best and Worst of Tred Barta, You always plan on something going wrong and this was no exception....Day time soaps for guys!

Mike,
I think what y'all are doing is a fantastic thing. People like Tred and SGM Pat will surly humble a man. However without people doing what your doing they wouldn't be able to do what they enjoy most. I know it makes you feel good at the end of the day, and it should. Thank you for your service to some great people in need of a little help.

Two years ago Chris Shivers and I got to meet a young, former bull rider. He was lying in a hospital bed with a freshly amputated left leg. He had gotten out of surgery only hours before we arrived. His leg was blown off in Afganistan while serving with the 101'st Airborn. I was shocked at the spirit and positive attitude that this young man possessed even with his injuries.

This year in Thackerville, Ok I was starting to feel sorry for myself. We were warming up to fight bulls and it was 97 degrees out (I'll admit we're spoiled by usually working in a climate control building). I heard someone in the stands call my name. As I turned around there stood SGT. Jason Fagan with a huge grin on his face. I could tell by just looking at him that he had
something he wanted to tell me. I waisted no time asking him what was on his mind. His response shocked me yet again. He told me that he had been fighting bulls. I replied, "WHAT?". He said, "Ya, my buddy wanted to ride so I just started fighting. I put my running leg on and it seems to work pretty good". After confirming that he still had my cell and would call if he ever needed anything, it was time for me to get to work. I decided that if he could get blown up, have his leg cut off, then fight bulls with a prosthetic leg. I would never complain about the bad conditions or having a bad day at work. SGT Fagan has truly changed my life, and he doesn't even know it.
