Dave i think as long as you dont carry a gun you dont need a tag or lisc. but to be on the safe side you can purchase a lisc and bobcat tag a little cheaper then your covered if you catch a cat, where you headed, I will be down on the kalamath this weekend havent heard to many reports i know there was snow last week, Good Luck, last Hooray Mike

If you have dogs with with your name on them you better have a california license, if your handling the dogs they will consider you hunting. Yeah idk how much a non resident bobber tag is but it's probably hell of a lot cheaper than a bear tag.

All you need is the license,dont have a gun in your truck and you will be fine,also bobcat tag is sold individual this year and non resident price is the same as resident.
