putting on weight

Post by silentnight »

I just picked up a 13 month old Cameron female she is very skinny can see hips and parts of her spine. I was told she had just got a three day worming so not sure if that has anything to do with her weight or not ? Any tips on putting some meat on this little gal ?

Eggs ,milk, lard, puppy chow are all options. Theres one thing to watch with lard dont over do it just a few ounces a day. Another thing i do is use a high protein dog food and heat the lard up poor it over the food then sprinkle powdered milk on it. This works fast and is fairly simple then after a few days i add the lard only every other day or so unless its real cold out. Id de worm the dog again in a week or so, its surprising how many "just dewormed" dogs still have them until you take care of it yourself. Also make certain she has plenty of water it helps their digestion alot. Good luck.
