David Dillon's 2011 15-11/16" Colorado Lion
David Dillon's 2011 15-11/16" Colorado Lion
Does anyone know a link or have pictures of David Dillon's 2011 lion killed in La Plata County, Colorado? I was looking at Boone and Crockett's website and saw that it was the highest scoring lion in 2011 and I would love to see pictures of the beast! Thanks.

"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.

This lion had been down low near wintering game but was also very close to residences. This lion was treed by two excellent lion hunters named Clayton and Rusty.
Oh and yes it was bobtailed but as you can see fat and sassy!

He was much heavier than 154. He was packed out on a packhorse but I don't have the official on him but close to 200. That is not all that uncommon for these big high country Colorado toms.

Treed a female a few years ago with a bob-tail. The stub was still seeping blood. Assumed that a tom got rough with her. Do you guys see much of that?
when in doubt turn em out

sometimes people dock the tails on females to keep them from being shot......
