Hello,
I am Matt Low and new to this forum and dogging in general. I am from the San Antonio area and have been consumed with dog hunting since I got my first 2 years ago. It all got started when I was a hunting guide and was tired of losing wounded animals. At first I was getting a jagd/cur but it died and now I have a Lacy. To date we have found many animals and I also work him on coyotes and varmints.
I have been reading this forum for quite a while and am to the point where I want to start learning more about real dog work. It would be great to ride along with anyone in the area and see what it is all about.
Thanks and looking forward to learning more,
Matt Low

Matt,
Welcome aboard. You are at a great place to learn and make new friends.
If you do not know SOUTH TEXAN on here, look him up and read his Posts. He is the real deal in S. Tx. and knows every one. He also has some of the top Blood Retrieval Hounds in the business!
You should try to make it to the Dilly Convention Center on March 2 for the Cat Hunters gathering. There will be Cat Hunters, Hog Hunters and Blood Retrieval Hunters there enjoying the camaraderie and fellowship that happens here once a year.
You also have an interesting name....the name of a Character in one of my favorite John Wayne Movies.

Mr. Clay,
Thanks for the advice. I will continue to read as much as possible and focus on SOUTH TEXAN. I will also try and get in contact with who ever I can. I will mark Cat Hunter gathering on my calendar and get ready to do some BSing.
I did not grow up hunting with dogs but it sure is addicting. I am glad to be nearing the point in life where I can put not only money but most importantly my TIME into a project like this.
Which John Wayne movie?
Matt
