Dc-30's half charging
Dc-30's half charging
I have alot of dc-30's (20-25) I have to charge each week and every single time I charge them all theres 2-5 that dont charge fully and seem to get a memory that only allows them to charge to 2 or 3 bars sometimes only 1. I have to hard reset the battery everytime this happens to get them to charge fully again but until their all put in units and checked individually theres no way to know which collar is low. Has anyone else had this and know of a way to fix it? Im thinking I have a faulty charger or maybe a couple of them but with so many to do it would take weeks to work that out too. I do have enough chargers to replace them all but cant see how a charger could do this? Any ideas??

I have one charging half way. I was told to unplug the charger after charging the collar and then plug it back in again and it charged it all the way the second time.

Unplug the battery for 30 minutes and it will reset the memory. Then put it back together and resume charging.

Hard reset by unplugging the battery from the collar, as I said this fixes it at the time but doesnt stop it happening again next time I do it and without testing them all I have no idea what collars have done it. Spoke to another hound hunter on the weekend with the same issue so guess Im not the only one, his only solution is to carry a bunch of spare batteries every where he goes. Im suprised that this is an issue still I would of thought it would have to be a software problem or problem with chargers

Make sure the contacts on the charger and collar are clean.I use a pencil eraser. When you see the collar is charged take it off charge. I had same problem and did all these things and fixed it. I unhooked the battery a bunch of times but never really fixed it. Good luck!

where do you get the batteries? Maybe that is my problem.

Re: Dc-30's half charging
Both of mine did this along with many other people. Unplug the battery terminal by taking ur collar apart and wait 10 seconds or so n plug it back in n.put collar together n u should be in business. Fixed my 30 collars everytime. After while u may need new batteries but for now it.oughta work.
