Hello from NM,

I am relatively new to the sport. I have worked on and off with dogs for about six years but not in the area of big game hunting. I am looking to buy a hound to train two small pups. My question is; what do I need to ask or what kind of guarantee should I expect from an individual when purchasing a hound I haven't hunted, in order to hopefully not get burned on the deal. I plan to buy out of state or from advertisements such as this site provides. I may not be able to go and see the dog and owner in person. I hope to buy a lion/bear dog to be used on a lot of dry ground. If someone could give me some tips I would appreciate it!

Always trial a dog and ask around about the seller and the dog...good luck
