What a waste....I went out tonite to help a buddy look a deer dog and about 1 mile from where I was hunting today found this in the middle of the highway...Dang!!

I bet that cat heard your dogs today and waited for the cover of darkness to get the f--k outa dodge while the getn was good! Ha ha That sucks though.
I was lion hunting out of Elko Nevada a couple years ago and left town in the middle of nite in a snow storm. I saw something sitting on the edge of the pavement ahead of me and moved over away from it about the same time it decided to go ahead and cross too. It was as nice a bobcat as you could find in Nevada (and they have some dandys!) I hit it and stopped to go back and look at it, just a little blood around its nose. Had to drive off and leave it as non residents and bobcats are a serious No No down there. Always hoped someone came along and reaped the benefits from it. Todays estimated value of $1000 +

If a 1000 dollar cat is a "good day" i have been hearing about quite a few excellent days lately. I remember when the guy i worked for payed 500.00 for a cat in the 70,s and we thought they would never get any higher than that lol
