We have dc30s and 40s having trouble with both lately and it seems to be worse when overcast and snowing. I know my satelite TV acts up during snow storms.

We run both I love the gps because it tells us right were everybody is who's keepin up in the race who's messing around and so on BUT Iwould not run just with gps we lose signal so easily here that its more of a helping hand then a reliable tool we never leave home with out the beep box its true you do save a lot of money on gas and mileage on your rig but like I said more of a help not something I would trust to run only on if your just starting out start with the beep box that's my opinion

I run both. Just use the telemetry to check tree switches. With these gps units what i like is being able to see whats going on. Which dogs are in front. Whose always lagging behind. I wont turn one of mine loose without a gps on it. Just alot easier navigating in big country with em. Most of our trails and road beds are markes on our map card. U can find the easiest and fastesr way to the tree and back to the truck. Its just ALOT better in my opinion with a gps.
