Little Hare Hunting

Postby Budd Denny » Tue Mar 05, 2013 9:54 pm

This is the 4th time members of The Hunted Hare forum have gotten together for a big hunt. Just keeps getting bigger and better each time. This year we had members from Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Ontario, and New Brunswick. First clip is picture's bman (brandon) puts together, second and third are videos of the hunt that Marty (harehound) put together after getting footage from 5 differant guys videoing. My son killed the only hare, wich is all thats allowed at this hunt.

Bud,

Really enjoy the videos. Maybe sometime when you have time. You could explain after watching the front end of most races. And actually seeing the critter that is being chased, and what transpires at a check(loss). And how important it is in regard to keeping constant pressure on the animal that is being trailed. To not have all of that overrunning(with mouth), reaching and swinging with mouth. And just pretty much in general, what you would not tolerate if and when you were to start running Bobcat Lion or Bear again. It is usually very enlightening to see and hear the perspective of someone that has really gotten to see firsthand what truly destroys the smooth running of the pack of dogs.

Take care, Willie

Nothing more fun than hunting Hare with a couple of good Beagles after a couple of inches of fresh snow.
