Me to Al, I think it would be fun. We probably wont get to listen to hounds working so...

Shorty Martin told me all houndsmen love music. He is a real good musician. Any one know how Shorty is doing? Maybe some one could drag him up to the gathering.

Ed Culwell is friends with Sonny Turner. Ed was blessed to get a dog from Lloyd Basey back in the day. I think the dog was named Lightning. She caught Ed a lot of cats. Anyway, Ed makes guitars and now is making ukelelies. If he could come I think we could get something going in the music department. There has got to be some one coming who can sing. Dont have to be amazing, just sing kind of on pitch. C'mon I know there is some one out there. I can see you bouncin down those mountain roads singing along with the music at the top of your lungs when no one is watching. Time to come out of the closet. Maybe some ones wife too or even a child who sings good ? "...well they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles and they ran through the places where a rabbit couldn't go..."

Mark, now thats funny right there.

J.c. told me awile back, people talk to much when hunting. Now in his truck I have noticed passengers are either stone cold quiet or rattling off at the mouth. I dont know about the rest of you but when scared to death I either go silent or cant stop talking. What I do know is every time I'm in his truck and we hit a straight stretch, I get the cold sweats and start sucking wind.

I know this old cowboy, he can sing and play. He would fit in perfect at the gathering. I will see if Bill Woods can make it. John.

You guys seem like you are having way too much fun and that is unacceptable without shared sacrifice! May I ask what airport would be the closest to this shin dig?

Thanks a lot Dewey, but I would not want to inconvenience anyone. If I can swing it, would sure like to meet everyone. It all depends on work. Summer is our busiest time of year. Once the final location is established let me know and if I can will fly in and rent a car to get to it. Look forward to seeing you again!

Greetings will try to help. There is an airport in North Bend Oregon about 30 mile from Myrtle Point or 50 mile from Powers Oregon. I called North bend was told yes there was flights from Texas from two airlines. For flight information call United at 1-800-241-6522, for Sea Port call 1-888-573-2767. One comes thru Portland the other comes thru San Francisco. AL See Dewey has you covered, sure Portland will be cheaper & less hassle, good job Dewey. Al

Bignblue

Im not sure if i understand your question or if it is a trick question. I do know that after the tequila worm incident the other night, any time the words stuck and up are used together it scares me a little. So if that is what you're talking about my answer would have to be that i would be singing aucopella. I know for a fact that you would only get one song out of me however!

JC, here is a game for folks coming to the Gathering to Start thinking about.....how abouts you all give a prize to the person who Post's on a new thread, their CORRECT guess as to How Many States will be represented by attendees.

We can pick the winner after every one has signed the guest book. Mama says she will pick out one of Dad's Special framed Bobcat Prints for the winner along with a copy of or IOU for David's Book!

What do yall think?

If everyone that reads this would call 3 people and let them know about the gathering I would appreciate it. There are a lot of people out there that don't get on the computer. Spread the word please. U can give them my number.
