New to cat hunting

Hello, my name is Shawn. I am new to cat hunting, ran dog in the past in the mid west around the Missouri and Alabama area. I have a couple of hound the first is a 2yo Plott/Black and Tan cross and the other is kind of a rare old bloodline Bloodhound he has a sweet bawl the plott cross has one heck of a chop/ bawl. They have been started on cat and ran on coons. Just looking for any good advice from anyone. I am starting to rebuild and working on a dog box for the back of my truck. If anyone has any advice on how to train to hunt close and not get to far ahead i am all ear.
