I would think there might be an occasional time or two that might happen. But I would bet the dogs putting more pressure on the bear would put a lot more of them up. On that brushy Oregon coast the dog staying back 15 ft. might not even be able to see the bear a lot of the time. I have had both kinds and the ones that stay back tend to be the ones that are in the box when the others are still putting pressure on the bear despite not getting hurt as often. But these dumb bear dogs I have had maybe didn't reason as well as some of the dogs some of these other guys have had. Maybe if they had they would have been able to figure this out and put more bear up. Take Care,Larry

I think it depends on the bear size . When we run at night during training season it seems the more fur pulled the quicker they pop up. Then like u said you have them bear with shoes that doesn't tree. I believe you was right first Jc , the farther they say back and bay the less confusion and panic to the bear and he has time to think and tree.i think if you put 20 dogs on it and they bite it , it will run out of the country . I herd from a old timer the less dogs you have on it the quicker they tree and the more game u catch . Jmo. Jc I think you was right .
