Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
Those choices are kind of an insult to a hound hunters intelligence. We should all know what the correct choice should be. I don't have an answer to the nonsense going on out there , and other parts of the country, but I do know hound hunters need to change their way of thinking as in (let somebody else fight, I've got dogs to run). Nothing is going to change unless we all put on some gloves.
Mike, I like what your trying do, now if all of us would show that kind of persistence, then we may get some where....

Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
Why would anyone want to give up their Outdoor Liberties or any other Liberties to the Government? Our constitution is being violated daily. Heck it’s being violated right now; I can guarantee you Big Brother is spying & watching this site and this thread. Everyday NSA, IRS, DHS, TSA, and the list goes on and on, are violating our constitutional rights!
If people don’t wake up to this tyrannical government we are doomed! The last thing our Nation needs is more government in our lives. The essence of tyranny is the Government doing something or ordering something that violates common law and common sense. A true sign of tyranny is when it’s an unjust weight and balance. Not only is it oppressing the general public but groups affiliated with the Government are exempt and benefit from the public’s loss. Now who benefits from our loss of hound hunting, groups affiliated with government like (USDA) (APHIS) and all their Little Yes-Man Patsy groups!
Do you ever wonder why HSUS and other Anti-Hunting groups never protest paid Government Hunting Groups? It’s because they don’t want to rock the boat and lose their tax exempt status 501 (C) (3). It’s all a big scam folks. Government allows these anti hunting/freedom groups to make millions of tax free dollars a year and at the same time (We the People) lose our liberties to their false propaganda they spread about sportsmen. Then Government steps in and gets full control of the Wildlife Management costing the tax payers many millions of dollars a year. It’s a win/win situation for both groups (they all make big money) and the government gains more power/control & rules over the people.
It also helps HSUS when one of the head’s of IRS (Louis Lerner) is a high ranking member of HSUS and refuses to look into HSUS paid lobbying scams, that should lose their tax exempt status.
It’s time to wake up and get out your trance or we will lose it all!

Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
You act like we have a say in our government. Think again our government serves the people that have the most votes with the most money. I realize that we have very little say about what our government does. We are given lip service to make us think we can get something done. How is that been working. The only way it is going to change is with money and people that know how to work the system. WE as hunters can not even stand together. Stop and think about it we are quickly losing our rights by doing the same old same old thing. We have to come from a different approach. Not keep doing the same and crying in our beer. I want our rights back as bad as anyone but I see us going backwards every time we lose something. Dewey

Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
So whats the answer, Dewey? You keep posting and saying the same thing....nothing!! You say it has to change yet you expect those that are not selling out to be the ones to compromise. How can we unite as a team when we have some of our players shaving points? In a situation like that, you bench the traitors not work twice as hard to make up for what they give away. People always speak out against welfare and foodstamps and whine about govt handouts. Id like to know how agents killing wildlife is any different? Someones property is damaged so lets send a govt rep to the rescue. Sure they pay into the co-op but they do not pay all of the bill. You have said that independant agents on private lan are somehow different than aphis. How? The bottom line is that someone is shaving points in this game and it doesnt matter if they are working for a bookie or if they are a free agent acting out of their own selfishness for personal gain.

Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
In the other thread you also said that, if someone steals your stuff, you wont call police because you will handle it. How do you plan to do this legally? On one hand you are saying we cant fight the laws so we might as well learn to work with them and on the other you say youre going to rebel against the law and use vigilante justice. Im confused.
Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
Confused: I am glad you asked.By giving up what is not worker for us. By putting all this talk into getting support from the public, money to run adds, politicians on our side. Ever hunter has to be united or we all are going to lose. Having a person that will work full time on this. OOC does not get paid for what they do yet in one year they came very close to getting the cougar back. Giving up all or none, one little step in the right direction is a big step. It was stopped by one person. OOC did this with support from not many people in the hunting field. What do you think could happen if they got the money and support from all the hunters of all types in Oregon. Instead we attack them and other hunters, do a lot of talking, getting mad, making wrong ect.. No one or anything is perfect, we may never agree with what is going on or who is doing what but if we stand divided with no direction and leadership we will lose. We need to be united , a person that understands how to make things happen and money. I have listen to this argument to get the backstabbers for 19 + years here and it has gotten us no where and never will. There will all ways be people that want to hunt legally even if it is for the government. We have and will never have any control over that. They are the ones working with the laws of today. We need people at every outdoor show, every fur sale ect with a booth to tell our side with facts as to the cost to Oregon with the current way predators are being handled and the benefits that a change would cause. Ads on the radio, in papers for our cause. It will take a major effort to get the change and it can be done but not the way that we have in the past or what is showing up on this post. Dewey

X2 exactly what I tried to explain the other day. Dewey I had this arguement on another platform, I am assuming by the same fella. Thanks for putting in a great way.

Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
Again, you talk in circles and say nothing other than we need to accept the sellouts and unite with them. Ooc does have a chance here but even Wayne agreed to stop acting as an agent because he now knows he was hurting sportsmen. You have not backed your arguement even a little yet you are very effectively backing ours when you say youve heard this arguement for 19 years and that something needs to change. How can you not make the connection? The only thing I am hearing from you is "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" and you continue to dodge any direct questions. I have specifically asked you several questions yet you refuse to answer. Are you a conformist or a vigilante or does that depend on who you are talking to?

Re: Should hound hunters allow Government.
I do not think anyone here is argueing against uniting and changing things. No one is saying that OOC is bad. We are simply saying that we need hound hunter representation there and I do know that Dewey has given his input to OOC yet did not mention a thing about the sellouts cutting our throat. In fact, APHIS agents have been contributing to OOC which, to me, is a direct conflict of interest and I was told that no hound hunter had spoken against this. We need houndmen other than these sellouts contactin OOC so that they understand our position as the poll at the top of this page shows. Instead, we have the single vote speaking for all of us. You say you want unity. Why must we unite with the conformists? Why wont they quit acting selfishly and unite with us so that we may all hunt? They wont because they only are whether or nt they get to hunt. Theyll care about others AFTER taking care of their own interests.
