CRA & Big n Blue
Re: CRA & Big n Blue
Well, im showing the white feather. Cary has bailed on me, i am now the unofficial new dogbish, and Blue only mumbles in french about dirt, long ears, and how awesome texas is. Sleeping is the priority for everyone but Finney and I.
Having a great time!!!!!!! HOSPITALITY does not begin to explain the Clays,if you ever have the chance to hunt with them dont pass it up.

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
Folks,
You all have had Guests come see you, you want to have a Race, and the Game will not cooperate!
Well we have had Big N Blue, CRA, and Mark here the last 72 hours. If any of them want to come see you....let them as they all three must have a Four Leaf Clover Tattooed on their Bodies somewhere. They are GOOD LUCK!
The first morning with our Hounds we Holed a Cat after a short Race, then caught one after an Hour + Race where the Cat was seen crossing the road several times.
Then Dad took the Crew down to Glens......Game was not moving and Scenting was poor, but just after midnite the Box Blew up then the Cat scotted across the Road and the Race was on. 35 min then in the Ground it went!
Last night we were back to running our Mutts. It took a while to find the first Cat. He ran an hour 20 then tried to be Mike Tyson and it did not work out well for the Cat.
While Caddo and Chic were arguing over whose dead Cat it was, Kitty, Trinity, Dolly, and Missy headed out to the Truck, but OOPS they found another Cat slipping out (now with these young Hounds being the only ones barking, my pucker factor was going up as we had just heard a Yote fussing out in the Clear-Cut. But Brazos joined in and said Cat, then Creek made it to the youngsters and said CAT so all was well). We were able to pull around and get up the Mtn. from the Race and were able to hear it as if from an Amphitheater....WOW what a ROAR for 35 more minutes.....then QUIET. Corky and Missy went to barking as if the Cat was up or holed.....David, Charlie, and Mark walked down into them but could not find the Cat up....the Hounds were milling around as if he had gone to ground.
That was two Races that lasted just over an Hour each...enough for most Cat Hunters.....but alas I was not driving MOST Cat Hunters. Up went the
Rig Hounds and back to Hunting (the Hounds had watered well after the Race). For the next two hours it was old Tracks that we could not get off the road. Then about 2:15 Corky opened that a Cat had come out a side road into the main road and he thought he might could trail it. We put him down and hoped that he could really trail this Cat.
Well with a little help from Creek they took the Cat up the main road out to an intersection then across into a young Clear-Cut. while the two old men were beating around trailing the Cat, Brazos, Pecos, and Buck were reaching out ahead trying to find where the Cat had gone....and then they did...find him that is. I was standing at the back of the truck as they opened, telling us that here he is and we are after his A$$. I reached around and opened the gates on the Box releasing the rest of the Pack and told the Crew "Get ready I just sent the Gasoline to the Fire".
For and hour and a half it was back and forth, around and around then when it looked like the Cat was in mortal jeopardy, he squatted and bought himself enough time to make it to a Big Creek, then to town he went.....no I mean it, to TOWN! He went down the Creek to the Town of Delight, AR. boyhood home of Singer Glen Campbell.
While we know a few folks who live there and know how much they enjoy good Music we were not sure how much the Residents would appreciate the "Opry" coming to town at 3:30 AM on a Sunday morning. But the Hounds took care of business and put the Cat up before he made it an even more memorable Sunday Morning.
There was a hint of "Deliverance" to the last part of this tale....but I will let Mark or David tell it.
To Date there have been NO White Feathers shown by our Guests.....although there is no shortage of BS.
Good Running to All!

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
Well, we are down to just Mark. Big N Blue & CRA had to head home. As HOT as it was last night I do not blame them for leaving....hell, wish I could too!
We found one Cat last night....one of our Old Faithfull's out wandering and ran her 30 min. before she went in her regular hole. HUNTED THE REST OF THE NIGHT TILL AROUND 2:30 am then headed in.
Tonight, am about to go load Hounds. It is 90% outside with Humidity in the upper 80s.
Will report in tomorrow on our luck.

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
It has become clear to me. That at this hunting extravaganza that there were possibly some Indian names bestowed to the participants. Now when I get this sorted out. It will be my intent to expose the Indian names, and which hooligans have been assigned which names. But first I think I will start a poll with the Indian names. And let members vote to assign these elite hunters with what they think their appropriate Indian name should be. It may take me awhile. But interested in your feed back!!!
Take care, Willie

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
This Tribe was much revered by other Tribes of Hunters & "Gatherers"....so much so that individuals would be recruited to go aid other Tribes, even in such remote areas as Pennsylvania.
One of these "Yankee" Tribe members was more noted for his Gathering Ability than his Hunting and was subsequently recruited by the Yavapai to move to Arizona to teach them his enhanced Gathering abilities.....gathering Feces to fertilize with is no easy feat!
This Champion Feces (known as BS to us non-heathens) Gatherer is known near and far by his Tribal name of "He who squatted with his Spurs on"! You will know him by his High Soprano voice!
LOL Willie!

If anyone on this site ever thinks you will ever get the upper hand on this bunch. You are sadly mistaken. They will roll you over and stick it to ya like ya never have been before. And ya don't even have to be there in person. Simply put ya aint getting up early enough to get over on any of them. SINCERLY HE WHO SQUATS WITH SPURS!!!!!

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
This Indian boy goes to his mother one day with a puzzled look on his face. "Say, mom, why is my bigger brother named Mighty Storm?"
She told him, "because he was conceived during a mighty storm."
Then he asked, "Why is my sister named Cornflower?"
She replied, "Well, your father and I were in a cornfield when we made her."
"And why is my other sister called Moonchild?"
The mother said, "We were watching the moon landing while she was conceived." Mother Indian paused and asked her son, "Tell me, Torn Rubber, why are you so curious?"

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
All right, which one of you guys put the flour in my pockets? I almost missed my flight because my hands tested positive, however all their hi tech machines finally cleared me but i am now on the list with ol "snores with gusto" or whatever you guys call him. Saturday night i swear i heard Finney mumble something about kinda reminds him of baby sittn his sisters kids, not sure what he meant by that, hell he only had to change snores a lot diaper twice, spank the one with bad knee once,he did have to put out a couple of cigar seat fires however. I missed out on most of that stuff due to staying at the front end of the race making sure the dogs weren't going to encounter any snakes. I got to see some good dog work while i was snake proofing the area, i did get a couple of scratches and got bit once by a young dog but i think that was because he thought he had caught up to the cat! It was tough out there because snore master had lost my flashlite i loaned him. Cigar lip took us up a crick above some little town in the middle of the night and that kid with the banjo is still sitting on that bridge. Stiff knee wanted to buy a canoe the next morning but Finney wouldnt loan him the money, snore head assured him that he had one back in Texas that he could borrow anytime and it even came with a guitar. My fingers are cramped up and will have to finish this ordeal at a later date.

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
Charlie, I don't remember that snake being that small, but of course that was pretty late! But I do remember Mark making GOO GOO eyes at that young man while Lips on Fire with stinky cigar was trying to load the dogs!! While Mr. Finney was telling Mark that he would bring the guitar and canoe next time. Get in the truck!! We need to leave!!

Saws-many-logs-in-chair,
I talked to Lip on fire today and he told me that Snake - Wrestler left many broken hearts in Arkansas not just Banjo - Picker. Lip on fire said this ol' thing has been moping around the brush making loud mating calls since Snake - Wrestler left for home. I think we need to change his name to breaks - many - hearts.

Re: CRA & Big n Blue
Charlie, i guess i did break some hearts down there. I got a fone call today from that little romanian waitress with the accent that snore nose liked so much. I guess she googled " love me long time" and my name came up, she says she is tired of Arkansas and wants to move out to Oregon and wanted me to let her move in. I guess ol talks through nose was sneaking back to that restaurant when were sleeping and eating lots of pancakes and just creeping her out in general. She had to quit her job. I told her that there was some BS going around on the WWW about me and some hillbilly, but she assured me that she could tell i didnt swing that way. I talked it over with the girlfriend and i guess we are going to have a new roomate! Ya gotta love Arkansas!!!!!!! The downside to all of this is that he who snores at pancake house is going to be heart broken too when he gets this news.
