Hey guys
I'm new to the world of Hounds and bobcat hunting. I have only had labs that i bird hunted with. I train and run AKC hunt test too. Well I would love to get a hound pup and start cat hunting. Have always wanted to. But I have no idea where to start. I would love some advice on what pup to get and how to start training. Hard to get a guy to take me out cause I'm a girl and most of the times there wife would get mad lol happens all the time duck hunting. But any help would be great. I'm from Idaho, boise area.
Thanks
Chas

Purple Puppies,
Not all Bobcat Hunters wife's are THAT Insecure that they would not let another woman go Hunting with their Man!
Before acquiring a Hound Pup, spend weeks reading and rereading the Bobcat Section here on BGH. PM Coastalrangecathunter and see if he has a copy of David's Book left, if so Buy it!
Now you are blessed with a TOP Houndswoman/Bobcat Hunter being a member here on BGH. Contact "Melanie Hampton" by PM and start a Dialog with her. She can help with lots of your questions and answer in "Woman Speak", a language completely foreign to most all us men.
Melanie can also help you with the "Right" kind of Pup, one with generations of Bobcat Hunting in it's Pedigree!
Good Luck and feel free to ask anything you can think of about "Bobcat Hunting" on here, but first invest the time in studying all the info already here on BGH!
