New Alpha Collar wont turn on

Just got a brand new Alpha system. Followed the manual for charging the handheld and collar. Turned them both on and got gps connection etc. After a few minutes while I was playing with the handheld, the collar shut off and wont turn back on. Battery should still be fully charged, it was only on for about 5 min. Now when I plug it in to the charger the light stays red. Power button does nothing.

Followed the procedure http://biggamehoundsmen.com/reseting-th ... d-collars/ to reset the collar and still nothing. I'll be calling Garmin, just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

I did a google search and saw several people were having issues with the collars turning of while hunting, but they turn right back on. Mine seems dead.

There have been several Collars that came from Garmin with Bad switches. They might not work for long before going out or even come on at all.

Calling Garmin is Great....but Buying from DU and calling Matt or Buddyw would be better!

Try holding the power button down for 20 seconds and see if it will reset. Just a guess.

Another thing to try is to reload the software on it and see if it responds.

Can't beat this guy! He's done great service with me and my alpha I bought from him. I m a hog dogger but buddy is a world of knowledge and great help.
