Hey guys, my name is Carlos and I live up in AZ. I have been wanting to get into running dogs for bear and cats for years, but I have never had the time till now. I've spent the past 13 years serving in military special operations both as a service member and as a PMC. Now a days, I teach emergency medicine and special operations to the military on a part time basis. This leaves me with a good amount of free time in between contracts, so I figured I could finally pursue becoming a houndsman. That being said, I am a true beginner, only having ran dogs a handful of times with some friends on in NC.
I managed to meet a nice man named Buddy Frost in Snowflake, AZ and picked up a few bluetick pups along with a seasoned dog from him and a garmin alpha system. Like I said, I am a rank beginner and I look forward to learning from all you experience houndman on how to train my pups to their potential.
Greetings from AZ

Re: Greetings from AZ
Welcome aboard Carlos, I to am new with dogs. I have been running a around with friends with dogs for 20 years. Can't get drawn for any thing so I got a few young dogs and run them with friends. Good time nothing like it. I will be moving to Flagstaff myself in a couple of years. Hope to have a pretty good pack of dogs by then. Going bear hunting next week. May be we will cross tracks some day.
