The hands down best cheap radio i know of is the Baofeng UV5R two way 136-174, 400-480, dual band radio. I spent almost 400 on a yeasu radio that does not recieve as good as this 60$ radio does. There is a outfit called KW outdoors or KW hunting suppy that is an online outfit that i found them on. Amazon also has them. I like all my yaesu radios but my buddy in idaho got this one and it works just as good or better and if you lose it or break it it wont hurt as much.

Kenwood th-k20. I have had them for over a year now with no trouble period. They are military grade. Really good range ESP if you feet a hammer lic and use a repeater. Icom is another really popular brand with a very good rep. I cannot speak for reliability but hear good things.
The long bawl in early fall, the steady chop, the hammer drop. The chase and the tree, the passion of hunting for you and me. The old dog and the pup, the juvenile thats always corrupt. The snow the rain the laughter and pain. These dogs called hounds, we chase through the brush, waiting for the tree, our next big rush.
