It depends on what you are trying to single register. You need to look at the breed association webpage (google it) and call the person in charge of the single registration process. You will need to find out if and what the time frame is for single registering dogs and the process, what is required etc.

That is for coonhounds.. I believe that there are 1 or 2 breed that do not allow single registered dogs...

I'm trying to single register my grade Walker. Does that mean I have to talk to a master of hounds to determin the dog being purebred?

You will have to get an MOH to take you out and hunt with your dog. It will have to strike, trail and tree a coon and stayed treed for a certain amount of time. You have to take pictures of your dogs, left, right and a front and have the MOH sign those pictures. And I believe you need a known 3 gen ped for your dog. Fill out the paperwork, pay your dues/fees and voila...

Here is the webpage

I have talked to Melvin before. He is a really nice guy...

Alright, sounds simple enough. Although I'm a bit confused on the whole 3 generation pedigree. How am I supposed to fill that out? Just the dogs names? Like "Daisy"?

I am pretty sure that would work... When I single registered my female, I only had UKC info for the top half. On the bottom half, I put her dam's name, which was Katie.. and so on and so forth for the rest of it.. They didn't seem to have a problem, but her top half is registered so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.. Your best bet would be to call Melvin and ask him about it...
