Re: wolf hunting
Interesting video.
I don't see this happening in most cases....Looks good, but I can't imagine trying to start a single wolf from a pack, you better have a bunch of dogs. This reminds me of decades past hunting bear out of a garbage dump, turning five dogs out and having three different bear races....Worked alright on bear. I suspect dead dogs is what you would have with hunting wolves in this manner?
Many regions across the West are not areas you can travel well and in timely fashion on horseback as well....I bet the same applies in the U.P. and those regions in Michigan and several heavy water States, guys in many areas have swim dogs to tree bear....I suspect those areas a horse is useless. This is one more case where Government has planned a long strung out battle against sport hunting that will present USDA with a life time of opportunities to bilk the tax payers to fix a problem Government created......
On the other hand, more sport could be had by training a good pack of dogs to chase politicians and if you had, say a small pack of politicians running together there could be multiple tags issued, not to mention a horse could be used since flat ground in close proximity to hookers (hunting off bait)is where you would find the most and even a good mule would serve you well....Just my thoughts on the wolf debacle....
