I hope you learned not to invite the those people into your life.
I hope that after your encounter you shook the sand out of your ears.

Re: way to go mr. Game Warden
Wow some of you guys are a little rough around the edges. Sounds like the contact was a little harsh but who know what all happened to him prior?. Did you ask him why he was even there? I'm not a Warden but have been in Law Enforcement for some time. I by no means am sticking up for the guy, as I've been around a few cops that make me shake my head at how the act. Sometimes theres more to the story is all.
Calling a supervisor never hurts if you feel he was that unjust and was not able to explain his actions. Sometime we are unable to explain what exactly is going on to a civilian and sometimes a supervisor can clear up the unfortunate contact. I'm sure I've had more then a few run ins with people that thought I was a little rude but sometimes 'we' law enforcement officials have other pressing matters.
I would rather explain to my Sgt why I was a little harsh to a passer by that wanted to BS, then to have a reported take a picture of me laughing and joking with someone while the rape suspect got away (more of my line of work then his obviously). Just some food for thought, again sorry for the way everything went. Hope it was an isolated incident that can be explained.

It should not matter what type of day he was having they are paid by the public so don't be an ads simple as that. f someone is breaking the law then ticket them. To many get a badge and think they become above the rest. Andy

I hear what your saying but it simply isn't realistic. not going to get in a pissing match just saying there could be other variables.

Game wardens have a job to do. Once they know you, you should have no problem with them. If you do, keep going up the chain of command till they get their head pulled out of their ass!

Re: way to go mr. Game Warden
Most of the state game wardens i've been stopped by are professionals and they're no problem unless you break some law.The ones that think they're above the law are the problem. We've had one in my area for over 20 years that is a real nut job .He's the type you expect to kill some unarmed citizen. They won't promote him but they won't fire him either. He does illegal searches and harasses people because he thinks they're potential criminals. He's like the ones that get busted for beating up a retarded child or shooting a suspect that has already been subdued .Needless to say you have to be very careful around cops like this especially if you're alone.A tape recorder, cell phone and camera are good things to have with you when cops like this stop you.

Re: way to go mr. Game Warden
tradslam, you sound like a level headed guy, and those are the kind of people I like to be around. I am a level headed person too, that is why I wrote this on the board, to show everyone what we are up against, as a whole, in Texas. you should be aware of the fact that we never raised voices or got irate with each other, my main cooncern was with the fact that this fellow was treating us as if we had done something wrong. Regaurdless of what the state of Texas, or Colorado or any other game an fish department thinks, they are not God Almighty, and until Im caught breaking the law, I deserve the right to be treated with respect and kindness. if that is above their professionalism than they dont deserve the right to wear a badge!!!!!!!! I also understand they are in a line of work that deals with knuckleheads daily. Were they drafted into service? Were they forced to do this job? No sir they were not, so I dont feel the need to make excuses for their unprofessional behavior. Next time my dogs trash, or dont hunt good, or get in a fight in the box, or LOOK AT ME WRONG
, Im going to go home and take it out on the wife and kids!!!! That would be real sorry of me wouldnt it? Your right though some people are that way and they cant help it. Also, BigNBlue, your right too< these guys do have a job to do, and Im greatful for the ones who do it right!!!!!!!!!! Im not one to get mad at much except, Obama, and anti houndsmen. I hope this may clear up some of what a few of you fellows may think went on. We even parted with good ol" handshake. If I see him again(and He comes up to me
) I'll be just as friendly as before.

Well said Sir! It really is sad that we can't all realize that we ain't getting out of this world alive and the only thing that really matters is to treat people the way you want to be treated, but at the same time, demand the same from them!

That game warden must have been trained or come from california as that is how most all the fish cops act around here. Its sad.
